It is being proposed that the tax rules relating to Section 12J Venture Capital Company investments. Section 12J Company’s allows a taxpayer to deduct the cost of his investment into a section 12J approved investment company for income tax purposes, and, provided this investment is held for at least 5 years no recoupments will be triggered.
