Managing DIRECTOR

Werné is the appointed Managing Director as well as Head of Trusts and joined Sentinel in 2018.

About

After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Internal Auditing, Werné started his career as a financial planner. He then joined a fiduciary services firm during which time he established an accounting division offering accounting and tax-related advice to trust and company clients.

Werné joined Sentinel as Head of Accounting and Tax and was allocated to a portfolio of Trust clients where he represented Sentinel as Independent Trustee. Werné was subsequently appointed as Head of Trusts, a position he currently holds and focuses on providing valuable guidance and advice to his fellow Trustees. He strives to ensure tax efficiency and sound structures for effective inter-generational planning for his clients.

As Managing Director, Werné is passionate about adding value to our people and clients in multiple formats.
Werné is a member of the Fiduciary Institute of Southern Africa (FISA), holds the designations of Business Accountant in Practice (CIBA – BAP(SA)) and General Tax Practitioner (SAIT – GTP(SA)).
